B.L.T. Mook Graduation 2020 Middle school graduation Kiyono Momohime interview translation

Question: What kind of character did you have in your middle school class?
Momohime: I had a cheerful and energetic character. Pretty much all my friends were easy-going, so we would all get hyped up together (lol). Even in BEYOOOOONDS I just mess around with the other members without thinking much about our ages. I don't think I'm really that much different whether I'm with the group or in my class.

Q: Did you have any friends at school you spent a lot of time with?
M: I had a group of about 7 people I hung out with in my first year. We would talk a lot about how we were always hanging out in the same group (lol). There would be times where we'd all go out to karaoke, but I had to leave before everyone else to go to lessons. Even then, my friends would still invite me along, even if I could only stay until partway through. I was happy that they treated me like a normal student instead of making a big deal out of it.

Q: You seem like you have a pretty sociable personality, so you give off the impression of someone who's able to make friends easily.
M: This is just coming from me, but you might be right (lol). Ever since I was little I'd look forward to going to school and getting to see my friends. I live my life thinking, "I love my friends!" (lol). Even when I transferred schools in my 2nd year of middle school, I was able to fit into my new school right away.

Q: Did you drift away from your group of friends when you transferred?
M: I did, but I still keep in touch with some of them. They've even come out to BEYOOOOONDS events. They're all giving me their support.

Q: Do you have any youthful memories from your time in middle school?
M: The first thing that comes to mind is the sports festival. I really like school events where everyone teams up, since I'm the type to get pretty fired up (lol). I've done the Soran Bushi dance at the sports festival two years in a row, that was pretty fun. Also, I didn't get to experience this much myself, but I wish I had been able to stay after school and get together and chat with a few people. I think that's about as youthful as it gets.

Q: Did you do any club activities?
M: I was in the taiko club in my first year. I've been playing the taiko drum in club since elementary school, and I think that it helped me develop a sense of rhythm.

Q: Did you ever see the kind of bittersweet love you see in shoujo manga?
M: There was this fad where boys would confess to girls while everyone was around them in the classroom. The boy would be like, "Um... Do you want to..." and everyone would go shout, "Ohhhh~~" It wasn't on a dare or something, they were seriously asking the other person out.

Q: Huh?! Why'd they need an audience?
M: I think it's because there's so many popular videos on SNS and stuff of people confessing in front of huge crowds. If they become a couple, everyone rushes over and congratulates them.

Q: That sounds like something that would be popular now, huh. But wouldn't it be a huge shock if they get rejected?
M: Oh yeah (lol). It must be hard for the girl to say no with everyone there watching. It actually happened to one of my friends, and while it was happening I was thinking about how anxious she must have felt. By the way, I haven't been confessed to a single time. That hurts in its own way, though (lol).

Q: If it were up to you, what kind of situation at school would you have wanted to be confessed to in?
M: I'd be embarassed if it was in front of everyone, so I'd want them to just tell me how they feel somewhere quiet like behind one of the buildings or on the rooftop. With a letter or a text you can't see the other person's face, and you can just delete or throw it away, so I think that would be sad. If it were me, I think I'd want to talk face to face.

Q: Is there anything you've left undone as a middle schooler?
M: I wanted to draw a picture in chalk on a blackboard. At my graduation, I wish we could've all written something on the blackboard and taken a group picture in front of it. Oh, and there were a bunch of classrooms I never went into, like the chemistry lab or the audiovisual room. I want to see what it's like inside them.

Q: What about the broadcasting room?
M: Well, about that, I was a member of the broadcasting committee (lol). At lunch time we would read out the menu, and we'd take requests from the whole school and play music. But when I'd talk, another committee member would go out of their way to try and make me laugh, so I got yelled at and told to do a proper job. Also, thinking about things I can't do anymore, I always wanted to try drinking the instant coffee the teachers had in the staff room (lol).

Q: Is there anything you're looking forward to, or something you want to try doing now that you're a high school student?
M: I have a lot of hobbies, like rap, sign language, and playing an instrument called the talkbox, but I didn't have a lot of time for them while I was busy with middle school. Now that I'm a high schooler, I want to spend more time on my hobbies. Also, I want to try studying Thai.

Q: Thai?!
M: I made friends with a Thai singer when I went there on a vacation with my family in elementary school. We exchanged our addresses with each other, and right now we talk back and forth in English, but I want to try and talk more in Thai. There's so many other things I want to do too, so I want to make my time in high school fulfilling!

I can't think of a title

It's been 2 years since I touched this blog...so much for a month or so long hiatus huh. Turns out trying to translate a daily blog while studying and working is an easy way to burn yourself out, who would've thought.

Unfortunately(?) I'm not back to translate blogs. The girl who I named this blog after doesn't even really have one I can translate publicly anymore. I do still dabble in some casual (read: amateur and borderline unreadable) translation in my spare time, and what with being stuck inside all day every day I'm suddenly dealing with a lot more spare time than I ever thought I'd have in my adult life... So, maybe the motivation to translate has returned. Not consistently, of course. I'm not going to commit to that...

Anyway, I need a place to dump my shitty translations, and instead of making yet another blog fated to fall out of my memory in a couple weeks, I thought I might as well use the one I could actually remember the name of. So yeah, that's what I'll be using this for now I guess.

I'm going on a short hiatus!

Hi everyone, sorry about the lack of translations for the past couple days! To make a long story short, I'm going to be taking a break from blog translations until early April.

I've been busy with finals the past week, and on top of that I also happened to get sick...again. Needless to say it's been a pretty straining week and I found myself with not a lot of time to work on translations.

I'm going to be in Japan for a couple weeks starting on the 20th, and I had already planned on taking a little break from translating during that time. So, I guess that hiatus is going to be extended forward by a couple days.

I'll be back in early April so I'll get back into things around then! Also, I'm planning on writing up some trip reports once I'm back so I'll probably post those here as well.

Thanks for reading, and see you in a couple weeks!

Morning Musume. '18 will be appearing!

it seems like there's a band made up of mascot characters named CHARAMEL!

My yuru-chara oshi, Kapal-san.... He happens to be a member of this bandグリーンハートグリーンハートグリーンハートグリーンハート

I want to watch their performance♡lolol

We did a lot of things in rehearsals today!
During our free time, I went to eat pasta with Oda-san, Maria, and Kaediiキラキラ

Oh, and! This is from yesterday, but!チョキ
(it's about the NBA)

The Lakers won against the Cavaliers!
The Lakers are super amazingイエローハートイエローハート

The guy they call the King, Lebron James, is in the Cavaliers! And that's the team Tokunaga-san is cheering forガーン

My heart was beating as I was waiting to see the results of the match yesterdayアセアセウシシ

Well then!

2018/3/13 Haga Akane - But you can't just rest! Haga Akane

Konbanoyaki

Lately I've really liked going outside!

...weeell, more than outside itself,
I like being beneath the blue sky at this time of yearブルーハート

The weather's really nice out, isn't it...!

It's not too hot, so you don't get sweaty,

and it's not too cold either, so you don't need to dress warm,

and when I see how blue the sky is,
it just makes me want to go walk aroundハイヒールハート

I usually think of the act of walking(?) as being tiring,

but it can actually be refreshing!

Walking by myself is good, of course, but...

Walking around with Haachin and Chii
and talking about dumb things is the best!

When we're done with rehearsals we'll be all tired from dancing, but

us 3 will walk all the way back to the stationウインクイエローハート

"Resting" doesn't just mean things like sleeping and taking it easy at home......

"Resting" can mean

if you have homework, or something you need to do,
instead of doing "the things you need to do",

you do "the things you want to do" instead!

If shopping was "the thing I want to do", then
that in itself could be a form of "resting",

it's not only just like

you should sleep when you get tired.........

Well, really,
if "the thing you want to do" is sleeping,

then I think it's fine to sleep as much as you want,

just,
I think that doing "the things I want to do"

is what "resting" means to me!

Oh, but, at night,
"I don't want to sleep so it's fine if I stay up~"

Please don't do this注意

I've been talking about "resting" this whole time
on the premise that sleeping is really important after all注意注意注意注意

{248CEF39-57E6-4F7B-8C47-D659F66FD0FA}

Right.

Yesterday, the actress I like,

Yamamoto Maika-san
released a photobook,

I want it so badピンクハート

I went to the bookstore, but
...I guess I'm inexperienced when it comes to looking for books,,

To begin with, they didn't have anything like photobooks!

Not just actresses,
they didn't have any idol photobooks either

So, I'm going to announce my plans for the day after tomorrow.

Wake up
→sing
→Let's go to work
→Work's dooone
→Go to the bookstore and look until I find it
→Go home
→Read it carefully
→Be happy
→Watch LupiPat-sama to wrap up the day
→Take a bath or something...
→Sleep

(*`ω´*)Smug

I'm looking forward to itピンクハート

Well then
Akanerune (-_-) zzz

2018/3/13 Kaga Kaede Ameblo - At an important part. Kaga Kaede

Good evening!

Iiit's Kaga Kaede (ノ´▽`)ノ

The Gundam Unicorn is currently being manufactured.

{7D51EB95-1AD0-42CE-9C8C-714345E79581}

The edges!!

The edges of this are important but it's not very clear since it's in portrait,,,.

It's difficult, isn't it.
Taking pictures. (^▽^;)

Now then, tomorrow at 19:00,

we'll be appearing on
BS Sukapa! Sukapa! Ongakusai 2018!

It's a live broadcast,
so you guys shouldn't miss it(°∀°)b

Today Ogata-san asked me
what if we took "okaeri" (welcome home)
and made it into "okaedii"?

Hearing that, I really liked it

It's like, konbanhaachin,

or konbanyamayama,

Except rather than being a regular greeting, it's how you greet someone who's coming back, so
the way you use it is a little different, but

Personally I like it a lot, I'm really into it v(^-^)v

What do you guys think??

I'll be waiting for your comments (≧▽≦)

Well then! (・Д・)ノ
